Saving lives during the COVID 19 crisis
As strategic advisory during the COVID-19 response, we played a key role in supporting high profile clients across Whitehall. We coordinated strategy and planning activity across departments to establish a national logistics supply chain that dramatically reduced first responder infection and illness, and maintained public resilience across the UK. Our wargaming expertise also helped shape the multi-agency response to the 2020 UK protests. Inspired by these experiences, we began researching how wargaming and deeper action inquiry and methods could enhance preparedness and decision-making for future national and international crises. Helping Clients Foster Workplace Inclusion
Our client was facing challenges in making inclusivity and awareness of hidden diversity a natural part of their daily work. To address this, we introduced the Strategic Orbits Exercise, applying a deep story approach that helped employees visualise relationships in 3D. This allowed them to recognise how hidden diversity often influences interactions at different levels; visible and invisible, within the workplace environment. By using this human-centred approach, we were able to inspire meaningful change on personal, team, and organisational levels, which led to greater awareness, dignity and respect for hidden diversity.
