• We are delighted to be collaborating with York St John University, London Campus based in Docklands.
• Through our partnership we have designed a unique approach to accreditation and qualifications based around the Action Learning Question methodology.
• This was created by Dr Richard Hale in 2000 and has since been used with international, corporate, government and community based organisations to enable learners to be recognised for their work-based learning.

Postgraduate Certificate Qualifications

Postgraduate Qualifications can be achieved through completion of the:

• Action Learning Facilitator Accreditation Programme
• Action Learning Leadership Programme

Inclusivity and Diversity

Our values of inclusivity and supporting diversity are at the heart of our method which support learners with different learning style preferences and needs.
Credit is achieved through presentation of evidence of learning at Level 7 (Postgraduate) with a range of methods.

Module 1 – Action Learning Facilitator Question
(40 credits postgraduate level 7) – 6 Months

Following the Action Learning Question process participants scope, research action and reflect on their learning based on a real work-based challenges and opportunities. There are 4 one day workshops, action learning set meetings, and personal coaching support. Participants complete self-study, including work-based activities and reading, working up to a final presentation of their learning journey. A portfolio of learning including a plan for ongoing Continuing Professional Development is submitted as evidence for assessment.

Module 2 – Self as an Instrument of Change
(20 credits) – 2 months

The postgraduate certificate is delivered in partnership with York St John University London and includes two one day workshops hosted at the Docklands based London campus. This includes a self-diagnostic and development of coaching capability. This module is assessed through submission of a written account of learning and updated portfolio.

Graduation

On completion of the ALFA programme successful participants will graduate with the award of the Postgraduate Certificate in Action Learning Facilitation from York St John University. 2026 graduation ceremony will be held in London Guildhall.
